Free Redirect Converter

Enter your redirects one per line and get the rules for Apache, nginx, Cloudflare, Netlify, Vercel or IIS, with chains and loops cleaned up.

Free, with no sign-up. Fair-use limits apply. Text you paste is processed and not stored. To enforce the limits we keep any domain or address you enter and a scrambled form of your IP address for 30 days, as described in our privacy policy.

One list, every platform

Each platform writes redirects differently, and copying between them by hand is where typos creep in. Enter each redirect as an old address, a new address and an optional status code, and the converter writes the correct syntax for the platform you choose, or for all of them at once.

How to use it

Put one redirect per line, for example /old-page /new-page or /blog/2019/post https://example.com/blog/post 302. A line that starts with a tilde is treated as a regular expression. Choose the output, a default status code, whether to add or remove trailing slashes and whether to lower-case paths, then press Convert redirects.

Chains, loops and duplicates

Redirect chains slow visitors down and dilute crawling. The converter flattens chains so that each old address points straight at its final destination, reports loops, which would break the page, and warns about duplicates.

Test before you deploy

Try the result against real addresses with the redirect rule tester. If you are matching hundreds of old URLs to new ones, the redirect map builder suggests the pairs.

Frequently asked questions

Which status code should I use?

Use 301 or 308 for permanent moves and 302 or 307 for temporary ones. 308 and 307 preserve the request method.

Are the generated rules safe to paste in?

They are written carefully, but always test on a staging copy first, because server configuration errors can take a site down.

How many lines can I convert?

The free version accepts up to 60,000 characters.
