Free Open Graph & Twitter Card Generator
Fill in the title, description, image and page type and copy the Open Graph and Twitter card tags for your page.
Free, with no sign-up. Fair-use limits apply. Text you paste is processed and not stored. To enforce the limits we keep any domain or address you enter and a scrambled form of your IP address for 30 days, as described in our privacy policy.
What these tags do
When someone shares a link, social networks and messaging apps read a few meta tags to build the preview card: the title, description and image. Without them the platform guesses, and often gets it wrong.
How to use it
Enter the page title, a description, the full page address and an image URL. Choose the type and the Twitter card style, add your site name and handle if you have them, and press Generate tags. Paste the result into the head of your page.
Image tips
Use an absolute address, an image of about 1200 by 630 pixels and text that is readable at small sizes. Add alt text so the card is accessible.
Check what is live
After publishing, run the page through the Open Graph checker.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need both Open Graph and Twitter tags?
Twitter and X fall back to Open Graph if the Twitter tags are missing, so the Open Graph set is the essential one.
Why does the old preview still show?
Platforms cache previews. Use their sharing debugger to refresh it.
Do these tags affect SEO?
Not directly, but a good preview earns more clicks from shared links.
