Free Page Image Audit
Enter a page address and we list its images and flag missing alt text, missing dimensions, oversized files and lazy-loading mistakes.
Free, with no sign-up. Fair-use limits apply. To enforce them we keep the domain you enter and a scrambled form of your IP address for 30 days, as described in our privacy policy.
What is checked
The audit reads the page and looks at each image. It reports missing or empty alt text, missing width and height attributes, images that are lazy-loaded when they are at the top of the page and formats that could be smaller.
How to use it
Enter the page address and press Audit images. You get the findings first and then a table of every image found.
Why it matters
Alt text helps people using screen readers and helps search engines understand the image. Dimensions prevent layout shifts. Right-sized images speed up the page. Generate responsive markup with the srcset generator.
Frequently asked questions
Does an empty alt attribute count as missing?
No. Empty alt is correct for purely decorative images. A missing attribute is the problem.
Are CSS background images included?
No, only images in the HTML.
Are file sizes checked?
Yes, where the server reports them.
