Link risk & toxicity score
Every backlink and referring domain gets an automatic 0–100 risk score with plain-English reasons — so instead of scanning thousands of links yourself, you know exactly which ones deserve a closer look, and which are safe to ignore.
What's included
- Automatic 0–100 risk score per link and domain
- Plain-English reasons behind every score
- One-click "send high-risk domains to Disavow"
Scoring runs automatically as part of every backlink check — there's nothing separate to configure or trigger. Each link's authority, anchor-text pattern, domain signals and disavow history are combined into a single score and sorted into four bands: clean, low, medium and high risk.
Filter the Backlinks and Referring domains tables by risk band, or send every domain above your threshold straight to the existing Disavow Manager in one click.

How it works
The score is built entirely from data already in your link profile — no separate crawl or third-party spam database lookup is needed. Signals include very low or missing authority on an otherwise established-looking domain, an anchor text repeated across an unusually large share of your links (a classic sign of a manipulative link scheme), a small configurable list of link-farm-style TLD and domain patterns, and — the strongest signal of all — a domain that's already on your disavow list for a different website. A referring domain takes the highest score of any of its own links.
Every score comes with the specific reasons that produced it, so it's never a black box: "very low authority, already disavowed elsewhere" tells you exactly what to check if you want a second opinion before acting.
Why a heuristic score, not a certified verdict
True spam classification needs a much larger training signal — real malware and link-farm databases — than any single platform can independently gather. This is deliberately built and labelled as a heuristic priority signal, the same way the rest of this app separates an observed fact from a recommendation: it tells you where to look first, not what's definitely bad.
- Triage, not a verdict — a high score means "worth a closer look," not "guaranteed spam."
- Cross-account memory — a domain disavowed on one of your websites scores as high-risk on your other websites too, so you never have to remember it yourself.
- Straight into your existing workflow — "Send high-risk domains to Disavow" adds them to the same Disavow Manager you already use, ready to review and download as a disavow file.
- Filter, don't hunt — narrow the Backlinks and Referring domains tables to medium-or-high risk only when you're doing a cleanup pass.
Frequently asked questions
Is this a certified spam score, like a blocklist check?
No — it's a heuristic priority signal built from data already in your link profile (authority, anchor patterns, TLD/domain signals, and your own disavow history), not a certified verdict from a spam database. Every score comes with plain-English reasons so you can judge it yourself.
Does it score every link, or just my own domain?
Every backlink and referring domain in a snapshot is scored automatically as part of your regular backlink check — no separate scan to run.
What happens when I send high-risk domains to Disavow?
Domains scoring at or above the risk threshold are added to your existing Disavow Manager list with the reason attached, ready to review and download as a disavow file — nothing is submitted to Google automatically.
Can I tune what counts as risky?
Yes — the signals and thresholds behind the score are configurable, and a domain already on your disavow list for one website is treated as high-risk across your other websites too.
